Ruth E. Phillips, 72, of Inlet, formerly of Mayfield Heights, OH, and owner of the Inlet Marina, died unexpectedly on January 15, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica.
Her family invites everyone to her graveside service to be held Monday, June 9 at 11 a.m. in Riverview Cemetery.
Richard E. Ferland of Old Forge passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at home and surrounded by his family. He was 70 years old.
His interment in Riverview Cemetery in Old Forge will be Friday, June 6th at 11 a.m.
Nivea Sarabia passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. She was born on January 6, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Agripina Diaz and Francisco Sarabia. 
She spent her youth between Mexico City and Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. She married Burton Nelson Deis in February of 1952, then moved to Old Forge, NY, where she spent the next 40 years. Nivea moved to Lee County, Florida in 1995 to be closer to her daughters. Continue reading
Robert M. Watson of Thendara passed away unexpectedly with his family at his side on May 28, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica.
He was born in Thendara on June 9, 1928, a son of Morley J. and Alice (Poirier) Watson. Bob graduated from Town of Webb Schools in 1946, and was united in marriage with Louise Dodge in 1949. Continue reading
A memorial service for Peter Steele, who passed away on December 6, 2013, will be held Monday, June 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church, 228 Crosby Boulevard, Old Forge.
A brief reception will follow.
His family is collecting pictures and “church appropriate” stories for the service.

A graveside service for Eleanor L. Hansen of Eagle Bay, who passed away on December 3, 2013, will be held on Monday, June 9 at 11 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Old Forge.
Following the service the family wishes to extend an invitation to join them for a reception at the Ole Barn in Inlet.
