Kiwanis raises over $5,000 at annual Winter Sports Challenge

Over 100 people participated in the 16th Annual Central Adirondack Kiwanis Club Winter Sports Challenge in Old Forge on Saturday, February 6, 2015. The event was a part of the Old Forge Winter Carnival. The proceeds, estimated at over $5,000, will be used to fund continuing Central Adirondack Kiwanis children’s projects.  Continue reading

Kiwanis Club announces winners of Sports Challenge, Snowshoe Classic

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks held its 16th Annual Kiwanis Winter Sports Challenge during Old Forge Winter Carnival on Saturday, February 6th.

Included in the event were the traditional fund-raising cross-country ski and snowshoe treks to raise funds for various Kiwanis children’s projects.

In addition, the Kiwanis Club, Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company and McCauley Mountain Ski Area jointly sponsored the 6th Annual McCauley Snowshoe Classic. Continue reading

Local Kiwanis to sponsor 16th Annual Winter Sports Challenge, February 6th

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks will sponsor the 16th Annual Kiwanis Winter Sports Challenge on Saturday, February 6 during the Old Forge Winter Carnival weekend held at McCauley Mountain Ski Area.

The Winter Sports Chal-lenge is a family-oriented recreational cross-country ski and snowshoe fund-raising event that will take place on McCauley’s extensive network of cross-country ski trails. Continue reading

Over 100 people participated in the 15th Annual Central Adirondack Kiwanis Club Winter Sports Challenge in Old Forge on Saturday, February 14.  The event was part of the Old Forge Winter Carnival.

The proceeds, estimated at over $7,000, will be used to fund continuing Central Adirondack Kiwanis children’s projects.  Continue reading
