Old Forge: Winners announced in 18th Annual Classic Car Show

The 18th Annual Father’s Day Week-end Car Show was held on Saturday, June 20 at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center in Old Forge.

Over 150 classic cars participated in the show.

The show was sponsored by the Central Adirondack Associa-tion (CAA), Cooper Kia of Yorkville and Lee Buick GMC fo Boonville.

CAA presents 18th Annual Classic Car Show this weekend

The Central Adirondack Association will host the 18th Annual Central Adirondack Father’s Day Week-end Car Show in Old Forge on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20.

The event begins on Friday at 7 p.m. with a car parade down Main Street in Old Forge.

The Car Show on Saturday will be held at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Continue reading

Old Forge: Annual Frog Jumping and Ugly Tie Contests set for Father’s Day

The Central Adirondack Association (CAA) invites all children to bring their fathers and their favorite frog to the Annual Father’s Day Frog Jumping Contest in Old Forge on Sunday, June 21.

The fun will start at noon at the Old Forge lakefront tennis courts. Awards will be given out to the winners in the following categories: fastest frog, heaviest frog, lightest frog and longest jump.

Local businesses can enter a frog for a chance to have their name added to the traveling trophy.

And don’t forget to have dad wear his ugliest tie as the crowd will determine who walks away with the 2015 Ugliest Tie Award.

Father’s Day Frog Jump set June 15

Old Forge’s lakefront tennis courts will once again be the location for frogs and fun on Father’s Day.

The Central Adirondack Associa-tion will hold its annual Father’s Day Frog Jumping and Ugly Tie Contest on Sunday, June 15 at noon.

There will be trophies for children that enter the fastest jumper, the longest jumper, the lightest and heaviest frogs. A traveling trophy will be awarded to the fastest business-sponsored frog.

Also, fathers should wear their ugliest ties and compete in the annual Ugly Tie Contest.
