CAA presents 18th Annual Classic Car Show this weekend

The Central Adirondack Association will host the 18th Annual Central Adirondack Father’s Day Week-end Car Show in Old Forge on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20.

The event begins on Friday at 7 p.m. with a car parade down Main Street in Old Forge.

The Car Show on Saturday will be held at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The show will feature classic antique vehicles and modified street rods.

Two cash prizes of $250, provided by Cooper Kia of Yorkville and Lee Buick GMC of Boonville, will be awarded to the Best of Show cars in two categories: antiques/classics and modified/ street rods.

Trophies will be awarded in 19 classes of vehicles, and dash plaques will be given to the first 100 registrants.

Awards will also be presented for  Oldest Vehicle, and Longest Distance Driven by models 1990 and older.

A spectator admission fee of $3 will be charged. Children under 12 will be admitted free.

Anyone interested in registering his or her vehicle for this judged show can do so at the gate on Saturday morning for a fee of $15.

Cars must be registered by 11:30 a.m. to be included in the noon judging.

Auto swap meet vendors are welcome to participate by completing a registration form and paying a $20 fee.

Food and beverages will be available for on-site purchase.

In case of rain, the event will be held inside the pavilion on a first-come, first-served basis.
