Seistan’s Rough & Ready (Roughie), a grand champion Afghan Hound owned by Lynn and Bill Faro of Inlet and Marylin Thompson of Seattle, WA, has been on a winning streak in the dog show circuit since the beginning of the year.

In the  56 shows she has competed in she has won “Best of Breed” 30 times with one Group One win, four Group Two wins, and one win in each of Group Three and Four. Roughie also has 13 opposite sex wins and 11 select wins. Continue reading →

Dog has his day with first prize at Florida Parade

IMG_9106*****Katie Smith of Old Forge and her cocker spaniel, Rory, won first prize in the Medium Dog Division at the 6th Annual Mardi Claws Dog Parade held at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Park on February 22.

Rory received a trophy, a medallion and a $50 gift certificate for the win.

Rory is groomed by Jimmy Ortiz of Feathers and Boughs of Thendara.
