Winners of Inlet’s Sled and Kids Snowmobile Races announced

Inlet Tourism Director Adele Burnett has announced the winners of the Cardboard Sled Races and Kids’ Snowmobile Race that were held on Saturday, February 28 during Inlet’s annual Frozen Fire & Lights event.

There were 21 entries for the Cardboard Sled Race.

Winners in Speed Class I, ages six and under, were: 1st – Boxy Boxy by Maddison Arey of Tupper Lake, 2nd – Barbie Car by Natalie Hitchcock of Eagle Bay, and  3rd – VW Groovy Bus by Courtney Hitchcock of Eagle Bay. Continue reading →

LaPortes named 2014 Champions of Cardboard Sled Racing Circuit

The 2014 Adirondack Cardboard Sled Racing Circuit came to a close on Sunday, March 1 at Oak Mountain with the LaPorte family of Eagle Bay garnering first place and championship status.

IMG_2063The LaPortes participated in all five of the circuit competitions and accumulated a total of 185 points to take the title.
