The Community Health and Wellness Fund will be accepting applications for scholarships from Town of Webb School graduating seniors pursuing a career in a medical field.
Scholarship application forms will be available from Nurse Laura Cooper at the Health Center in Old Forge beginning April 1, 2016.
Due to a decline in donations to the Fund, scholarship awards this year will be limited.

Minimum required distributions, or MRDs, are mandatory, minimum yearly withdrawals that generally must be taken starting in the year you turn 70-and-a-half.

The inch of snow that fell Friday morning, March 18 magically disappeared under sunny skies just in time for the launch of the Old Forge St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Despite the chilly temperatures and the start of the Webb School break, parade organizers said there were more entries and spectators than in the past couple of years…giving announcers Nick Bankert and Gary Staab and Emcee Jeff Craig a lot to talk about.

Leslie Surprenant, a longtime friend and trustee of Dr. Anne LaBastille’s estate, will present a special slide show tribute titled, Anne LaBastille: Woodswoman, Author, Ecologist, Friend, on Saturday, April 9 at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Theater in Utica.
