View’s Dance Series resumes on Saturday, March 15th

View will continue its dance series on Sat-urday, March 15 at Gould Hall with Al Nathan and Bluestreak performing a variety of dance music from 7 to 10 p.m.

The band will be playing a wide range of music to jitterbug, waltz or cha cha to.

A cash bar of wine, beer, soda, and water will be available for purchase.

Nathan worked the Boston music scene throughout the late 60’s and 70’s and now plays frequently at venues in Utica, Syracuse and throughout the Adirondacks.

Food Sense orders sought

Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church is taking orders for the Food Sense package for March 2014. Each “unit” costs $15.50. This program is open to all. There are no eligibility requirements nor is there any obligation to purchase food every month.

The March unit consists of chicken kebabs, Pollock fillets, ground turkey, Salisbury patties, bologna, potato slices, mac & cheese, frozen mixed vegetables, Mandarin oranges, diced tomatoes and two fresh produce items.

There are also six specials available at an additional cost: chicken tenders, meatloaf, tilapia fillets, stuffed chicken, French fries and sliced American cheese. Continue reading

Thank you from MAC’s Safe Ride

On behalf of the MAC’s Safe Ride board of directors, I want to express my appreciation for the support and generosity that this town bestowed upon us.

Thendara/Inlet Open Golf Tourney set

The 27th Annual Thendara Inlet Open will be held at Pelican Bay North Golf Club at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 in Daytona Beach, FL.

The event will be a separate four-person scramble for men and women.

The cost is $65 per person and includes greens fee, cart, dinner and prizes.

Dinner will be available to non golfing guests for $22, including tax and tip, and will be served at approximately 6 p.m.  Continue reading
