MAC’s thanks volunteers for help with half marathon

On behalf of MAC’s Safe Ride, I would like to thank the following for all their help with the Old Forge Half Marathon & 5K Race held on Saturday, September 12th.

They were instrumental in the success of the race as they manned the water stations as well as cheered the racers on.

MAC’s receives donation from Webb Class of 2014

On behalf of the MAC’s Safe Ride Board, I would like to thank the Town of Webb Class of 2014 for generously donating the balance of funds that remained in their post-graduation account to our organization.

There are so many other ways they could have utilized these funds, and we are greatly touched and deeply grateful for their generosity and thoughtfulness.

Inlet Champagne Bus to offer safe New Year’s Eve transportation

The Inlet Champagne Bus will be running again on New Year’s Eve, providing safe transportation for those out to enjoy parties at participating establishments.

The bus will start running at 8 p.m.  and will continue looping throughout the night making stops at Seventh Lake House, Drake’s Inn, The Ole Barn, Matt’s Draft House, Red Dog Tavern, The Woods Inn, The Tavern, and North Woods Inn.   Continue reading

Hit the road Sunday, December 7th for annual Let it Snow 5K Run/Walk

MAC’s Safe Ride’s Let It Snow 5K Run/Walk starts at the Old Forge Fire Hall at 9 a.m. on Sunday, December 7.

Participants are encouraged to dress in holiday attire as they head down Main Street and to Thendara and back.

Prizes will be awarded to Overall Male and Female coming in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age category, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Best Costume.  Continue reading
