Father’s Day in Old Forge: Winners named in weekend Car Show

The Central Adirondack Association’s 15th Annual Father’s Day Weekend Car Show was held Saturday, June 16 at the North Street field in Old Forge, adjacent to the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center.

The event drew 132 car entries that competed in 16 classes for awards, and 628 spectators who came to get a close look at the classic and antique vehicles, and modified street rods.

Cindy Beckley, one of the organizers of the show, said it was one of the organization’s biggest and best car shows to date.

On Friday evening Johnson & Company Band entertained spectators at Point Park until the start of the 7 p.m. Parade of Cars up Main Street. The band’s performance was the first in a series of Friday night concerts that will be sponsored by the Town of Webb.
