Patrick Perkins running for seat on Webb Town Board

Patrick Perkins of Old Forge has announced his candidacy for Town of Webb Councilman in the Republican Primary in September and the general election in November.

Pat, who is a life-long resident of Webb, said, “I want to add some common sense to what we’re doing here in town. It seems we are spending money kind of foolishly and maybe I can do something about it. That’s my reasoning for running for the board.”

Born and raised in Webb, he is a third-generation Adirondacker.

His grandfather, Donald “Red” Perkins, was a well known Adirondack guide. His father, Robert, passed away in 1974. His mother, June Perkins, recently passed away on May 28, 2011.

Pat graduated from the Town of Webb School in 1980 and served in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1986. He was stationed in Bamberg, Germany and at Fort Stewart, Georgia before returning to Old Forge.

He presently owns and operates Perkins Plumbing & Heating in Old Forge and he has been a member of Covey Pashley American Legion Post 893 in Old Forge for 16 years.

He has also served on the Zoning Board of Appeals for 11 years.

He and his wife Carol have three children: Amanda, 21, who attends Syracuse University, College of Human Ecology; Jason, 18, who attends Mohawk Valley Community College, and Patrick (PJ), 16, who attends the Town of Webb School.
