CAP-21 seeking input on training needs of local businesses, non-profit groups

by Nick Rose

What type of training would be helpful for improving you business bottom line? What training would really help your not-for-profit organization? What type of training would benefit you or your employees?

We would also like to know if there is any interest for businesses or community organizations to share services.

Could you share costs in the area of Bulk Mailing, Recep-tion, Book-keeping, Volunteer Coordination, Transportation, Event Planning, etc.?

CAP-21 has an opportunity to work with The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties to sponsor and organize regional training.

We need to know what knowledge and information would really be helpful to you.

Some possible ideas we have tossed around include the following: Hospitality Training, Providing Quality Customer Service, Being an Effective Board Member; Quick Books, Excel, Using Social Media, etc.

But those are our thoughts, we really need yours.

So please call, email, or send us your top three training needs.

We would try to schedule training in off-peak shoulder seasons for your convenience.

Also please tell us if there is any function for your business or organization that you believe can be shared for more efficiency, cost-effectiveness and less headaches.

Send your thoughts, comments, insights, brainstorms to info@cap-21.org, call us at (315) 369-3353, or mail to: CAP-21, P.O. Box 642, Old Forge, NY 13420.
