Webb Police Dept. reports law enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has reported the following recent law enforcement activity.

• An on-going investigation by Town of Webb Police resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old Lowville, NY woman on Tuesday, September 29 at 10 a.m.

The woman was charged with Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, Petit Larceny, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

According to the report, the Town of Webb Police Department concluded an approximate three-week investigation into mulitple illegal incidents that occurred upon the Stillwater Reservoir in the Town of Webb between September 9 and 11, 2015.

On September 9, the Webb Police received a report of a motorboat that had been stolen and partially submerged in the reservoir.

Sometime overnight on September 10, two kayaks were stolen from the Stillwater Shop and later recovered by Webb Police with the assistance of NYS Forest Ranger L. Evans.

During the course of the investigation it was discovered that residents at the “Rapshaw Club” at Rapshaw Island had been burglarized and a large sum of money stolen from same.

Following the investigation of multiple leads and interviews in the Lowville and Utica area it was revealed that the named defendant had committed the above named charges.

On September 29, the defendant was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree after a quantity of heroin was located on the defendant’s person while being transported in a medical facility bus travelling to Old Forge, NY.

The defendant was arraigned on all charges on September 29 before the Honorable John Graham where she was remanded and court ordered to a drug treatment center.
