NY Central’s Adk. railroad: Goodsell taking book orders

The Goodsell Museum is now taking pre-orders for the new book, The New York Central in the Adirondacks, written by John M. Ham and Timothy R. Mayers.

The 250-page book tells the story of New York Central’s Adirondack Division and is a tribute to Dr. Webb’s Railroad.

The captions on the 400 photographs provide the narrative.

The book is currently being printed and copies are expected to be delivered in September. The retail cost is $49.95.

Goodsell Museum Director Kate Lewis anticipates that the books will sell fast and encourages folks to reserve a copy in advance.

Books will also be available locally at the Adirondack Reader in Inlet, the Old Forge Hardware, Adirondack Scenic Railroad – Thendara Station, and the Adirondack Museum.
