Town of Webb Police Dept. reports law enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has reported the following recent law enforcement activity.

A 64-year-old Old Forge man was charged with Harassment, 2nd degree following an incident that occurred on Thursday, August 6 at 11:46 a.m.

According to the report, the defendant was arrested following a complaint from a Kinney Drugs employee who stated that he had continued to harass her verbally on several occasions after she had asked him to stop.

A 36-year-old Chestertown woman was charged with Fail to Keep Right, Driving Across Hazard Markings, Following Too Closely, Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor), Driving with .08% or More Blood Alcohol Level (misdemeanor), Aggravated DWI – .18% or More Blood Alcohol Level (misdemeanor), Aggravated DWI – child in vehicle (3 counts, felonies), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (3 counts, misdemeanor), following an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 8 at 8:08 p.m.

According to the report, the TOW Police Department arrested the woman for the above charges following two 911 calls reporting a vehicle being operated erratically on State Route 28.

A traffic stop was conducted and an investigation determined that the woman was operating in an intoxicated condition with her three children under the age of 16 years old as passengers in the vehicle.

The woman was transported to the Town of Webb Police Station where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.28%.

She was arraigned in the Town of Webb Court and remanded to the Herkimer County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bail bond.

A 27-year-old Inlet man was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration, 2nd degree, Trespass, and two counts of Disorderly Conduct following an incident that occurred on Monday, August 10 at 8:10 a.m.

According to the report, the defendant was arrested following a 911 call reporting two males being out of control at the DMV office located on Park Avenue in Old Forge.

Upon arrival the two males continued to display threatening and tumultuous behavior towards the DMV employee and police.

One of the parties presented ID and the other refused. It was discovered that both parties had warrants for arrest out of two separate police agencies.

The defendant was arraigned in the Town of Webb Court and released after posting $750 bail.

A 20-year-old Thendara man was charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree following an incident that occurred on Monday, August 10 at 2:43 p.m.

According to the report, the defendant did knowingly and intentionally punch a female victim in the face causing her to suffer a black eye, bruising and swelling.

The defendant was processed and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Webb Court on August 11, 2015.
