An All-Girls Cocktail Party, the third annual gathering to honor the memory of the late Kirsty Sutherland, will be held at the Eagle Bay Park camp of Deb and John Barry on Sunday, August 23 from 6 p.m.
The party, at 127 Eagle Point Rd., will include cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages and a variety of Kirsty’s signature appetizers. There will also be raffles. In honor of Kirsty, this year’s theme is sunflowers and cowboy boots and party-goers are asked to dress accordingly.
Parking will be available at the Eckerson’s parking lot on Route 28 and shuttle service to the Barry’s will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. courtesy of the S.S. Minnow.
A maximum 100 tickets will be sold at $20 each. All proceeds will be divided in support of Eagle Bay beautification projects and the Kirsty Sutherland Culinary Scholarship which is awarded to a Town of Webb School student.
Funds from last year’s event supported the scholarship awarded to recent TOW School graduate Tyler McGough, landscaping enhancements and the purchase of two picnic tables at the Eagle Bay Welcome Center.
Laura Lester, co-organizer of the event, said she and her family will continue to work with the community on future projects and ideas are welcome.
