Find out about invasive plant species at Old Forge, Inlet events

Invasive Species Week in New York state runs from July 12 to 18 this year. The Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP), in collaboration with DEC, will again be hosting events across the Park to raise awareness of invasive species and to assist landowners with control, management and eradication efforts.

CAP-21 and the Old Forge Farmers’ Market will host an Ask-An-Expert booth during  the Market on Friday, July 17 from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Town of Inlet will host an Ask-An-Expert booth at Arts in the Park Festival on Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All are welcome to bring in a plant or insect pest that you think might be an invasive and learn more about how we can all protect our beautiful Adirondacks.
