Attention all seniors! We have a lot of fun activities planned during the month of July at SHARP, our Senior Health Activities & Recreation Program.
On Wednesday, July 1 there will be Yoga with Kathy Queen, games and scrabble. We will also be planning future events. There will be prizes for everyone who comes dressed in red, white and blue.
On July 8 there will be chair exercises and balloon batting, and a “name the states” game. Kathy Fox, director of Herkimer County Office for the Aging, will be our special guest.
We will take a trip to visit Anne and Rod Phinney’s Moose River Farm on Rondaxe Road on July 15. Kathy Queen will instruct Yoga on July 22. Also, we will play an “All about you” game…gain “been there, done that” bragging rights!
We are looking forward to Friday, July 24 when we go to Inlet’s Arrowhead Park for the Evening with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra performance. Meet at Niccolls Church at 6:30pm to car pool to Inlet.
On July 29 we’ll be taking a field trip to Benny’s Ice Cream and play miniature golf at Nutty Putty!
SHARP is a free program offered to all independent senior citizens from Woodgate to Raquette Lake. We meet at Niccolls Memorial Church in Old Forge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday.
Lunch during our regular Wednesday sessions is provided by the Community Health & Wellness Fund (formerly the Town of Webb Health Center Fund.)
