SHARP: Many events & activities slated for remainder of April

SHARP, the senior health, activities and recreation program, takes place at Niccolls Memorial Church in Old Forge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday. We also enjoy special activities outside of our regular meeting day.

The program is open to all independent senior citizens from Woodgate to Raquette Lake, and is a free program unless otherwise noted. Lunch during our regular Wednesday sessions is provided by the Town of Webb Health Center Fund. 

Upcoming events for the month of April are:

April 15th – Funday Wednesday. Yoga with Kathy Queen. Movie and discussion. Forever Young group goes to TOW school.

Sunday, April 19th – Take a Hike Day. Meet at Niccolls Church at 1 p.m. The hiking destination to be announced, based on weather conditions.

April 22nd – It’s a mystery! Did Professor Plum do it in the library? Who will win the mystery action? I can’t tell you—it’s a mystery! But here’s a clue: you will definitely have a good time!

April 29th – Mitch Lee will come to tell us a short story. Also, card games, trivia, word games, Bingo and “Different Strokes” activity. Forever Young group goes to TOW school.
