Nearly half a million dollars
and in the winter it’s unusable
I know it’s “only” Eagle Bay
but this is inexcusable!
Who authorized a building—
no room for snowslide or snowmobiles?
The contractor’s laughing all the way to the bank
He’s made quite the deal!
We were proud when it first opened
Public restrooms in our town
clean, bright, new and beautiful
But soon we saw the down
The ancient plumbing freezes
where it runs beneath the street
Snowmobiles and vehicles
drive the frost down extra deep
“good enough” for years ago
these days that will not fly
Two extra long and below zero winters
taught us exactly why
