I would like to send my gratitude to the Old Forge Ambulance volunteers for coming to the assistance of Dan Rivet who asked for lift assistance for my brother John, in July of this year.
My property is such that moving a stretcher required more than two persons. Dan Rivet comforted John in the ambulance trip to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital as they reminisced about the early days of Enchanted Forest, where my brother worked summers in his college years.
John died on October 17th as a result of Multiple System Atrophy, a condition similar to Parkinson’s Disease.
I will never forget all of those wonderful volunteers on my deck waiting to do whatever they could to get my brother to the ambulance safely.
