The 29-inch by 35-inch gouache (opaque watercolors), photo realistic, still life depicts an arrangement of day lilies, glass bottles, marbles and an old lantern set against a backdrop of peeling blue paint.Tennant views the work as an allegory for the fleeting nature of life, said Cory Card VIEW’s exhibitions manager.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Tennant has been the recipient of multiple awards for his large scale gouache paintings. His work has been exhibited throughout the country, published in 18 magazines and is held within many private and public collections.
