Webb Police reports enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department reported the following activity for the period of July 31 through August 10.

On August 2, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Ofc. Kevin Birtle responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident on South Shore Road in Old Forge. Investigation revealed that the operator, a 24-year-old Inlet man, was intoxicated. He was arrested and refused to submit to a chemical test. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor) and several traffic infractions, all returnable to the Town Of Webb Court at a later date.

On August 3, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Ofc. Trevor Tormey conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on NYS Route 28 in Thendara. Investigation revealed that the operator, a 24-year-old Carthage man, had a suspended driver’s license. He was issued traffic tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree (misdemeanor) and a traffic infraction to appear before the Town of Webb Court at a later date.

On August 6th, at approximately 10 p.m. Ofc. A.J. Silverman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on South Shore Road in Old Forge for a traffic infraction. Investigation revealed that the operator, a 37-year-old Baldwinsville man, had a suspended driver’s license.

He was issued traffic tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree (misdemeanor) and a traffic infraction returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.

On August 9th, at approximately 10:25 a.m., Ofc. A.J. Silverman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on NYS Route 28 in Thendara.

Investigation revealed that the operator, a 30-year-old  Blossvale man, was operating with a suspended registration and a suspended driver’s license. He was issued traffic tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree (misdemeanor), operating a vehicle with suspended registration (misdemeanor) and a traffic infraction all returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.

On August 9th, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Ofc. A.J. Silverman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on NYS Route 28 in Old Forge. Investigation revealed that the operator, a  36-year-old North Syracuse man, was operating a vehicle with suspended registration. He was issued a traffic ticket for operating a vehicle with suspended registration (misdemeanor) returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.

On August 9th, at approximately 6 p.m., Ofc. A.J. Silverman responded to Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge for a disturbance. Investigation resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old Rome man and a 19-year-old Oriskany woman.

The man was charged with Assault 3rd (class A misdemeanor) and unlawful possession of alcohol (violation) and the woman was charged with disorderly conduct (violation) and unlawful possession of alcohol (violation).

They were brought to the Town of Webb Court for arraignment before Hon. Graham.

The woman was released on her own recognizance and the man posted $150 bail. Ofc. Silverman was assisted by the New York State Police in this investigation.

On August 10th, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Ofc. A.J. Silverman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on NYS Route 28 in Old Forge. Investigation revealed that the operator, a 55-year-old Boonville man, was operating a vehicle with suspended registration. He was issued a traffic ticket for operating a vehicle with suspended registration (misdemeanor) returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.
