Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services readies annual Gary Rudd Memorial Golf Tourney

The Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services organization is again hosting the Gary Rudd Memorial Tournament.

The tournament will be held at the Inlet Golf Club on Sunday, August 17 and is open to 36 four-person teams.

The proceeds from the tournament go to provide emergency services for the Inlet/Eagle Bay area.

This includes fire protection and emergency medical care through our two ambulances.

Registration forms can be found at the Inlet and Old Forge Information Centers and both the Inlet and Thendara Golf Courses, as well as the Inlet Emergency Services station on Limekiln Road.

The cost is $85 per person and includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes.

The hole-in-one sponsor is Carbone Ford and they are offering a new car to anyone who scores a hole-in-one.

Businesses that would like to contribute to the tournament can also register using the same form.

A sign with your business name will be placed on the course.

Contact any member of the Inlet Emergency Services.

Registration for the tournament will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. There are still several openings for teams.

If you don’t have four players, a team will be formed with other registrants who have less than a full team.
