Inlet Community Church: Meet new Pastor and family at July 20th BBQ

The congregation of Inlet Community Church has welcomed Phil Huber to serve as their pastor.

Huber was a pastor for seven years in the Syracuse area before transitioning to a career in retail management for the last eight years.

Both of these backgrounds have come in handy at his job at the Fastrac in Old Forge, as well as his part-time work with the church.

Prior to the arrival of summer, Pastor Huber had spent many weekends in Inlet helping to fill in while the church was without a pastor.

This initial exposure led to an increasing desire to make a more permanent change.

He and his wife, Sue, and their four children are currently getting acquainted with Inlet and getting involved in community activities.

“I’d like to see Inlet Community Church become known as a place of hope and healing, where the wisdom of the Bible finds relevance in every day life, and where community is built on mutual love and respect,” said Pastor Huber.

The Inlet Community Church invites all to come and welcome the Huber family at a chicken barbecue on Sunday, July 20th.

The come-as-you-are barbecue, catered by the Knotty Pine, will be held at the church at 12 South Shore Road from noon to 2 p.m. or until the food is gone. It is free of charge.

Inlet Community Church is located in the village of Inlet and meets for worship Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. with Sunday School preceding at 9 a.m.

The church can be contacted at (315) 357-2291.
