The 5th Annual Inlet Memory Walk, a fundraiser that supports Alzheimer’s research and the local Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) program, will begin and end at Arrowhead Park on Saturday, June 21st.
In previous years, Memory Walk organizers have dedicated the event to the memory of a local individual who was active in the RCIL program and succumbed to complications of the disease. However, this year’s event will honor all who have passed and those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s.
Families and friends of those afflicted are invited to join in this walk to end Alzheimer’s. On-line registration is available at: www.act.alz.org/inletny. Registration is also available from 9 to 10 a.m. the day of the event. The walk begins at 10 a.m.
A Chinese auction will follow the walk. Anyone interested in donating an item for auction can call the Inlet Information Office at (315) 357-5501. There will also be music, food, shirts and visors available to participants.
