CAP-21 & CAA say thank you

CAP-21 and the Central Adirondack Association would like to express our thanks and appreciation to Kate Russell of Mountain Greenery for her invaluable assistance for the winter hanging baskets that were recently taken down.

These baskets were up from mid-November through the end of March and created a festive look for the Old Forge business district while they were on display. Kate not only helped CAP-21 design and pick out the style of the baskets but donated at least half the cost of the baskets and contributed her and an employee’s time in putting them together.

Ms. Russell is an example of how our businesses go above and beyond in contributing to our community life. CAP-21 would also like to thank Mike Farmer and Fred Trimbach for their help in putting them up and taking them down, which is not in either of their job descriptions.

Since we think spring might actually be here, CAP-21 is already planning the 16th Annual Summer Hanging Flower Basket Program and basket sponsors should be on the lookout for Mr. Trimbach seeking support for that program within the next few weeks. Sponsorship for flower baskets may also be made on-line at www.cap-21.org.
