Stanley A. Ziemba, 85, of Endwell, passed away peacefully to be in his Heavenly Home on August 28, 2011.

Stan, or Mr. Z as most people around these parts knew him, was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp at Seventh Lake, and at the Z camp in Inlet, NY in the Adirondacks.

He was a 26-year retiree of General Electric Company. He was a World War II Marine veteran participating in the Battle of Okinawa with the 3rd Amphibious Corps.

He was always very proud to have served his country.

He was very devoted to his family and the Catholic Church.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Antoinette Ziemba; an infant son, Martin; and brothers, Michael and Joseph Ziemba. Continue reading →
