Jack Moore to serve as St. Patrick’s Parade Grand Marshal

For the past 37 years, Jack Moore of Old Forge has found himself cross-bar, providing beverages to customers celebrating festivities on or around St. Patrick’s Day.

Fifteen of those years have been spent with fellow bartenders at the TOW Bar as they fulfill the orders of the hordes of local and visiting revelers who gather at the busy corner hotspot to view Old Forge’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Continue reading →

Musicians Band Together TOW Bar to host Jon Liebing benefit on Sunday, Sept. 29th

The TOW Bar Inn on Main Street in Old Forge will be the site of a Sunday, September 29 gathering in support of area musician Jon Liebing, who recently broke his fibula.

The Lift a Leg for Liebing event will be held from 2 to 11 p.m. and features live music, free food and drafts, and a 50/50 Raffle. Admission is $15.

Among the bands performing at the event are: Paul Case and Kids Again, Andy Minnie, Joe Bolton and John Christy, Doug Green, Poor Tim, Dave Porter of 805, Bob & Dave, and Liebing’s Beatles tribute band, Plastic Soul.  Continue reading →
