Eileen Frances Tobin, 74, of Old Forge, died on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at her niece, Susanne and David’s home.
She was born on December, 14, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Francis and Leola Shillito Tobin. She graduated from North Carolina State College with a Bachelor’s Degree. Eileen was an active PE teacher in the Project Adventure program at R.C. Ketcham HS in Wappingers Falls, NY, and loved participating with the students in the outdoor adventures. Friends and family of Parker Snead will be taking time on Saturday, December 19th, to honor the late Town of Forestport Supervisor at a Celebration of Life gathering at Forestport Town Hall.
Bill Corrigan, whose family has had a camp on Kayuta Lake since 1939, said he will miss Parker for many reasons, including his love of Forestport and his desire to make the town a better place to live and visit. Continue reading
Allen Scott Pleban of Cheektowaga, NY, formerly of Old Forge, passed away December 15, 2015.
He is the beloved son of Norbert and Lucille (Winiecki) Pleban; dearest brother of Dr. Gail (James) Pleban-Johnson, M.D., Dr. Lynn Pleban, Ph.D.; dear uncle of Stephen, Jennifer, Brett and David Johnson, Jacob Nosbisch; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, December 18 at 10 a.m. in St. Philip the Apostle Church, 950 Losson Rd., Cheektowaga, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Floyd B. Garrett entered his eternal home on December 9, 2015 at age 95.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Louisa; children, Nancy (Peter) Carr and Susan (Ronald) Rundell; grandchildren, Matthew (Theresa), Anne and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Braden and Riley; nieces and nephews.
Floyd worked over 40 years for NASA in Cleveland, OH.

Parker Snead
Parker Snead was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 4, 1947. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia and Dallas, Texas.
He was a fourth generation member of the Adirondack League Club where, for many years, he owned his family’s camp on Lake Honnedaga.
It was there, as a child, that he developed his love for boats and boating. Combined with his spirit for adventure, he took to sea and earned his 200-ton Coast Guard Masters License. Continue reading
Bradley Mason Damon, 71, of Fairport, NY died at home on November 20, 2015.
Born in Portland, ME, Brad spent most of his life in Rochester and Fairport.
He attended Allendale School and graduated from Berwick Academy and Nichols College.
Upon retirement from his career in banking, Brad spent as much time as he could in the family place that was his favorite spot, on Fourth Lake in Inlet, NY. Continue reading
