Ruth Christman LeFevre, 87, of Eagle Bay, has returned home to God. Ruth passed away peacefully on September 9, 2011 at the Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville, NY.

Ruth was born on September 1, 1924 and she was joined in marriage to Elton LeFevre on October 12, 1957.

Ruth was a graduate of Hartwick College and spent many years working in the banking industry.

She was best known locally for Ruth’s Yarn Barn which she owned and operated in Eagle Bay.  She was an avid knitter and could knit anything from mittens to afghans, sweaters to baby clothes.  Continue reading →
