Ruth Christman LeFevre, 87, of Eagle Bay, has returned home to God. Ruth passed away peacefully on September 9, 2011 at the Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville, NY.
Ruth was born on September 1, 1924 and she was joined in marriage to Elton LeFevre on October 12, 1957.
Ruth was a graduate of Hartwick College and spent many years working in the banking industry.
She was best known locally for Ruth’s Yarn Barn which she owned and operated in Eagle Bay. She was an avid knitter and could knit anything from mittens to afghans, sweaters to baby clothes.
Ruth has been a member of the Dewey/Old Forge Chapter #449 Order of the Eastern Stars since 1982 where she served as the Matron of Chapter in 1990 and served numerous years as Chaplain.
She will be missed by family and friends and especially the Eagle Bay community.
Ruth is survived by her husband Elton LeFevre. There will be no calling hours.
