Letter to the Editor Public input needed: Health Center committee seeking survey responses

To the Editor:

The Webb and Adirondack Communities Health Care Research Committee wishes to announce that they will be sending out a survey to taxpayers of the townships of Webb, Inlet, Long Lake (Raquette Lake), and Forestport (Woodgate, White Lake and Otter Lake).

The purpose of the survey is to obtain public input about Health Care Services currently provided to our communities by the Town of Webb Professional Offices, and health care services that the public would like to have provided in the future.

Webb: Committee to seek public input on Health Center

The Webb & Central Adirondack Communities Health Care Research Committee… long name, but amazing results are hoped for from this committee that was created this week by executive order of Webb Supervisor Robert Moore.

The committee will be tasked with gathering public input toward helping improve the local health care situation, particularly in relation to services available through the Town of Webb Professional Offices in Old Forge.

Moore created the committee at the Webb board’s regular meeting on Tuesday, November 8. He also appointed seven members. Continue reading

Health Center Fund’s President to Address WPOA Annual Meeting

The Webb Property Owners Association (WPOA) will hold its annual meeting on Friday, July 29 at the North Woods Inn on Route 28.

A short business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. which will be followed by a presentation by special guest speaker, Hazel Dellavia, President of the Town of Webb Health Center Fund.

A question and answer period will follow Hazel’s program.

All are welcome to attend the meeting. Refreshments will be served.

Celebrating its 25th year, WPOA challenges state, county, town and school districts on issues that effect taxpayers.
