Members of Old Forge Covey-Pashley American Legion Post 893 will conduct a flag burning ceremony on Flag Day, Sunday June 14 at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Anyone who has an old or worn flag they would like to retire with the dignity and respect it deserves can drop it off at the bench on the porch of the Legion Post.
Jim Tille and Ted Siminski, members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Old Forge Post 9314, presented flags to Tracey Down’s second grade class during a special ceremony on Flag Day, at the Town of Webb School on Tuesday, June 14.
Members of the class took turns reading about the history of the flag and the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Parents and friends were also in attendance for the annual ceremony.
