Back in the seventies early March snowstorms were pretty common when I was growing up on Lime-kiln Lake.
Those storms brought a good wet snowfall that made building snow art in the yard easy.
I remember one such Saturday when the sky pounded out ginormous flakes of wet stuff that stacked up quickly and made for the best snow sculpting. Continue reading

I haven’t gotten my W-2 yet. Isn’t my employer required to give my W-2 to me before the end of January?
According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), businesses must send their employees’ W-2’s by February 1, 2016.
The normal date of January 31 was extended this year because that due date fell on a weekend.
In the event that an employee does not receive a W-2 from their employer on time or at all, they can contact the IRS for assistance. Continue reading

Winter came and went again this week and saved some of the events planned for Inlet’s Fire and Lights weekend.
The cardboard sled race was a pushing contest as the sledding hill was too icy to race on.
