Summer Reading Program begins at Old Forge Library, July 3

The Old Forge Library’s Summer Reading Program will be held on Thursdays throughout the month of July from noon to 1 p.m.

The program, “Fizz, Boom, Read,” encourages children to continue reading throughout the summer, and features a variety of activities for children in pre-k and up. Children kindergarten age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Registration is available by calling the library at (315) 369-6008. Last day to register for the program is July 10th.

The Summer Reading Program is supported in part by the Town of Webb Recreation Program.

June 26: Award-winning folk artist Joe Crookston to perform at View

Folk singer and master storyteller Joe Crookston will be joined by guitarist/vocalist Peter Glanville for a musical performance at VIEW on Thursday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Crookston, a native of Ithaca, tours regularly in the U.S., Canada and Ireland. He plays guitar, violin, and claw hammer banjo and integrates storytelling along with his folk songs.   Continue reading
