The North Woods Women’s Club held their first monthly meeting after electing new officers at the new member gathering at Billy’s Restaurant on Wednesday, October 17.

Meagan Langworthy was elected president, Jenn Dunn, vice-president; Erin Burns, secretary; and Amber LaFountain, treasurer.

During the meeting, the group discussed upcoming events and fund raising initiatives.

The club is currently seeking donations from area businesses for a coupon book that will be sold exclusively at Snodeo on Saturday and Sunday, December 8 and 9. Proceeds from the fundraising effort will support the Kinderwood Preschool Program.

Donations for the booklet can range anywhere from a buy-one get-one coupon to a free coupon, or a ten percent off discount. Donors are free to choose the specific criteria for their donation.

Only 150 coupon booklets will be sold and each will be marked for authentication. Deadline for participation is Wednesday, November 28.

The philanthropic efforts of the NWWC spreads throughout the community through their support of Kinderwood, local Hospice, the Old Forge Library, the Polar Bear Ski Club, and the food pantries, among others.

Anyone interested in being included in the coupon book can contact Meagan Langworthy at MEArmington@gmail.com.
