The Old Forge Ballet Company will offer free admission to children ages 12 and under for its two upcoming performances of The Nutcracker at the Strand Theatre.
The Nutcracker will be held on Saturday, December 1 and will include a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. performance.
This is the second year of the Friends of the Old Forge Ballet Company’s financial support of the performance, making it possible for all young people in the community to have the opportunity to experience the cultural event.
Anyone interested in becoming a Friend and making a donation to help offset the expenses of bringing the production to a wider audience, can direct it to: The Old Forge Ballet Company, P.O. Box 26, Old Forge, NY 13420.
Names of donors will appear in The Nutcracker program. Ads for the program are currently available at a cost of $25, $50, or $100. Deadline for inclusion in the program is November 15. More information is available by calling (315) 369-8721 or 369- 6273.
Performance tickets are now on sale for $10 for adults/seniors and teens. Tickets are available at The Naked Moose and The TOW Bar in Old Forge, and Dan’s Big M in Eagle Bay.
