Old Forge: Family members honor Jack Estabrook for 75th Birthday

The family of Jack Estabrook of Syracuse gathered in Old Forge the weekend of July 16 and 17 in celebration of his 75th birthday.

Family members traveled from Chicago IL, Annapolis, MD, Connecticut, New York City, Syracuse, Utica and Oswego to help Jack celebrate 75 years of life, as well as his 25 year marriage to his wife Michele.

The festivities began on Saturday when all met at a family camp on Fourth Lake and departed by party barge to North Woods Inn for dinner.

On Sunday everyone rode the scenic chairlift to the top of McCauley Mountain where they took advantage of the opportunity to get a group photograph.

To commemorate the special milestone, Jack presented everyone with a silver Tyrannosaurus Rex pin.

Of the birthday celebration, Jack quipped, “It’s tough knowing that a quarter of my life is over!”
