Principal’s Report submitted information regarding:

• The Violent and Disruptive Incidents reports were completed this year and submitted to the state.

• A new teacher orientation day was created this year for the three new teachers that we hired in order to ease their transition into the Town of Webb UFSD.  Teachers were able to visit each department of the building and learn some basic information to make the start of the school year go smoothly for them.

• A plain language summary of the Code of Conduct was created to share with students.

• We internally posted an aide position and the after school program position to replace an aide who resigned in the last few weeks.

• The schedule was finalized for teachers and sent out with the information to start the year.

• I want to thank each of the district staff who worked hard this entire summer to get everything ready for the school year.

• August Regents were administered for two days in August. Assessment data was analyzed and outlined showing that 7 out the 9 tests taken a second time since June Regents were able to achieve a passing grade. We also provided the August Regents for three students from outside the school district.

• Opening Day with all teachers and staff went well (Tuesday).   There were many things accomplished with the help of Kari Horn from Jeff-Lewis BOCES regarding SLO’s for the upcoming school year.  We were also able to share with the faculty the data from June/August Regents and grades 3-8 State testing.

• Mr. Fountain received photos of portraits of Honduras students painted by Town of Webb UFSD art students.

Superintendent’s Report included the topics:

• School will be opening for students on Wednesday. We had a full day of activities and training for teachers today (Tuesday).

• Thanks to Mike Gardner and the custodial crew for their hard work this summer and also to the office personnel, Kandis Griffin, Paul Giessler, and Herb Schmid and Jennifer Dunn for getting all the needed pieces in place for us to successfully open another school year.

• Mr. Swick will officially open the school year for students on Wednesday and will be meeting with student groups during the week to advise them on policy changes pertinent to them.

• Discussed the nautilus program and its value to the community.
