A near capacity crowd of music lovers filled the tent at Arrowhead Park in Inlet on Friday, July 29 to enjoy a performance by the Symphony Syracuse Orchestra.

According to Barbara Criss of the Fulton Chain of Lakes Performing Arts Council, Inc. (FCLPAC), the organization responsible for bringing the symphony to Inlet the last 13 years, the symphony once again delivered an outstanding program, and played well beyond their contracted two hours.

“The musicians said the concert in Inlet is one of their favorites and they were all thrilled to be back. It was wonderful to have Grant Cooper return as conductor. He is so personable and certainly added a lot to the performance,” Criss said.

Criss said the Woods Inn’s pre-performance cocktail party was also very well attended, as was the Sunday, July 31 free concert by the 10th Mountain Division Band.

The FCLPAC board of directors will take a month’s break before they sit down again to plan their 14th annual event for summer 2012.
