Connie Schreppel Receives Award for Outstanding Service

Connie K. Schreppel, Ph.D., Director of Water Quality for the Mohawk Valley Water Authority, was recently honored by the New York Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) with the John M. Diven Award.

The AWWA is an international organization of water supply professionals with over 50,000 members.

The Diven Award is presented annually to the New York Section member who, in the tradition of Jack Diven, has contributed outstanding services to the New York Section.

Dr. Schreppel was presented with the honor on Tuesday, April 12 during the AWWA Spring Meeting Banquet in Saratoga Springs.

Dr. Schreppel and her family enjoy the four seasons on First Lake. She has been an active member of the community for many years and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Fulton Chain of Lakes Association (FCLA).

She also served as the President of Fulton Chain of Lakes Association from 2005 to 2006 and was awarded the organization’s Outstanding Service Award in 2006 for her work with the Association and her contributions to the Water Quality Committee.
