Scott Locorini elected VP of NYS Outdoor Guides Assoc.

Scott Locorini, who operates Adirondack Exposure guide service and the local unit of Whitewater Challengers at Okara Lakes, was elected first vice-president of the New York State Outdoor Guides Association (NYSOGA) at its annual meetingon March 24th.

Locorini has been a director-at-large for the association for the past year and has served onnumerous committees.

He creates a digital newsletter for the organization and has designed an advertisement that will soon appear in three publications aimed at Adirondack users: Adirondack Hiking, Adirondack Paddling, and Adirondack Fishing.

Locorini, who has conducted business in the Old Forge area for the past six years, has been a member of NYSOGA for ten years.

He has previously operated guide service businesses in Forestport and northern Maine, and has also worked for a North Carolina-based outdoor recreation company.

In the winter months he conducts guided trips in Florida.

NYSOGA, formed in 1982, replaced the former Adirondack Guides Association.

According to Locorini, it is the only guide’s organization in New York state and its membership includes licensed specialists in hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, whitewater and rock/ice climbing.
