Woodgate to host computer learning series

The Woodgate Free Library will be offering a series of Computer Courses from April through September.

The first course, Introduction to Computers, will be offered in two three-hour sessions from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 12 and Saturday, April 14th.

The hands-on course with guided instruction and a self-study guide handouts is designed for people who have little or no experience with computers.The class will provide basic skills beginning with using a mouse and keyboard, and then progressing to file management, basic Word Processing, using Windows, E-mail and the Internet. Computers will be provided for class instruction. The maximum class size is 16 people.

Among the subjects of upcoming courses are: Computer Skills Intermediate, Basic Internet Security and Computer Maintenance, Digital Photo Basics, How to Download eBooks and Audio- Books, Job Search Skills, Advanced and Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher Classes, Photoshop Basics, Skype, Smartphone Introduction, Website Building Basics, and Windows 7 Overview.
