Thendara’s Ceil Buckley celebrates 99th Birthday

Ceil Buckley celebrated her 99th birthday on January 30, and marked the occasion at her Thendara home with family and friends.

Among those in attendance were Ceil’s son Mark of Norwich; daughter Betty and son-in-law Norman, and their children Evan, Joy, and Ada Rannels of Thendara.; nephews, Richard DeMoors (wife Linda and Linda’s mother) of Baldwinsville and Gerald DeMoors (wife Kathy and son Paul) of Weedsport; granddaughter Lynn Russell and husband Brett; great grandson John Paul Duguay and Sandy Fetterman and great great grandson Gabriel; and great granddaughter Yvonne Duguay.Surprise visits were made by Ceil’s friends Mirnie Kashiwa, Al and Ruth Brussell, and Helen Macdonald.

Ceil and her guests were treated to a slide show presentation by Town of Webb Historian Peg Masters which featured Thendara’s history, Ceil’s old family photos, and photos of her Aunt Mildred Rozen of Raybrook.

Ceil said she is thankful for the many birthday cards she received, and also the 99 flowers.
