Close to 200 area children enjoyed free admittance to the film, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, on Saturday, December 17 at the Strand Theatre in Old Forge.

The Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks, in cooperation  with Bob Card and Helen Zyma, owners of the Strand, were sponsors of the event.

The children were also treated to a free popcorn and drink, and enjoyed a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The Kiwanis Club wishes to thank all those in the community who so generously contribute to the various fund raising events that make programs such as this possible.
