Mike Levensailor and Ronnie Parent, both of Old Forge, recently opened the doors to their new business, Trackside Garage, located at 128 Watson Rd. in Thendara, right along the railroad tracks.
The garage handles all types of mechanical service, with Parent specializing in snowmobile and small engine repairs, and Levensailor, a 30-year experienced mechanic, handling the heavy equipment and automotive repair.
The uncle/nephew team also provides welding and fabrication service and tire sales and installation. Future plans include providing New York State vehicle inspections.
“If we can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed,” said Parent, who learned the business hands-on from his grandfather Watty Hunkins.
The garage is open seven days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers 24-hour emergency service.
