Christmas on Main Street committee says thanks for great weekend

The Christmas On Main Street Committee, along with the Central Adirondack Association, would like to express their gratitude to all those who were involved in making this year’s event the largest to date.

So many visitors and locals had a great time and expressed their appreciation for all the various activities that were available throughout the weekend.

Enormous thanks to our major sponsors Community Bank, Adirondack Bank and Kinney Drugs, and the sponsors of the “Cast in Bronze” carillon show: North South Connection, Old Forge Hardware, Smith Marine and Wilderness Interiors.

The performances were a big hit.

Thanks to all the businesses who donated and decorated to help the town look festive. Congratulations to View, winner of the Business Decorating Contest.

Thanks to Mark Hudon and his DPW crew for the town’s Christmas tree and Kate Russell of Mountain Greenery for the bows and decorations for the tree.

Point Park looks beautiful thanks to hard work from Stuart deCamp and Jimmy Ortiz of Moose River Bed & Breakfast and Lori Zellweger and Tom Smith of Wilderness Interiors.

Thanks to all the parade participants and Casey Crofut and the Town of Webb Highway Department for cleaning up after Friday night’s festivities.

A successful event is never possible without volunteers such as the Key Club Kids and the Travel Club.

Thanks also to all the reindeer runners, the Strand Theatre and the Goodsell Museum.

To Robert Moore, Mike Farmer, Danny Roberts and Martha Denio… great job as always.

And to all the community businesses in all the surrounding area, thank you and Merry Christmas.
