Letter to the Editor: Thanks for your help, Mr. Ilion, but Webb can manage itself

To the Editor:

Thank you very much to the letter writer from Ilion, but I do not need to hear from anyone in the Mohawk Valley telling me who should represent the Town of Webb in Herkimer.

Patrick Russell has risen to a position of respect and power in the Legislator through hard work and his own success.

Instead of name-dropping as a spokesperson, let those wealthy, successful “international businessman” supporters voice their own opinions.

Webb is the cash cow for Herkimer County, and we do not need outside political interests reaching further into our pockets.

Jon Hansen may eventually represent the Town of Webb, but Patrick Russell has been doing that very well in Herkimer for 12 years.

How long will it take a new legislator to rise to that level (Majority Leader, chairman of the Ways and Means Committee)?

In the meantime, how much would a new legislator owe to outside interests for getting elected?

Don’t tell me someone MIGHT be a good legislator. We have Patrick Russell, who IS a great legislator.

Patrick Russell is doing a big job for us. Let’s not change that for the sake of change. He has years of experience and background knowledge.

Vote for Patrick Russell.
