A public hearing was held Tuesday about a proposed extension of the Old Forge-Thendara Water District to include three properties located near the Riverview Cemetery on Williams Street.
Following the hearing a formal resolution was offered by Town Attorney Richard Frye regarding the extension proposal.
According to Frye, the resolution is subject to permissive referendum, which in short, means that once the resolution has been adopted by the Town Board, Town of Webb citizens will have thirty days to gather signatures and file a petition with the Town Clerk.
If no one were to file a petition, the bond resolutions would be considered to be desired by the majority of residents, and placed on the ballot for the next scheduled election.
